Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is
You study urbanism and planning, economic, population and rural geography, migration and development, culture and place, governance and physical geography, with statistics, GIS and qualitative and quantitative research methods. Fieldwork takes place every year, and first-year students are paired with senior mentors in small groups. Year three offers an optional internship with, for example, a local government planning department, a semester abroad, and a bachelor project. Graduates work as spatial planning advisors in consultancies, project managers in local government, researchers at housing associations or geography teachers, or continue to one of the specialised master programmes in spatial sciences.
What you need
- No subject requirements, but statistics is a big part: a maths level like Dutch VWO Maths A, B or C is expected.
