Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is
You learn how people, firms and governments decide and how those decisions shape whole economies, using economic models and data. Year one builds the micro- and macroeconomic foundation with mathematics and statistics as tools; year two goes deeper into both and adds courses such as Development Economics and International Trade. In year three you can study a semester abroad, do an internship, or stay for minors in economics and business and electives, then write a thesis. Typical courses include Welfare Economics and International Finance. Graduates work as economists or data analysts in international organisations, banks, multinationals and research centres.
