Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is
You study society from a comparative perspective on the Western world, and carry out a sociological research project every year. Year one introduces sociology alongside political science, social psychology and research methods. In year two you choose a specialisation, either Culture in Comparative Perspective or Social Risks in a Changing World, and finish the year with a research project in that field. Year three leaves room for minors, electives, study abroad or an internship, and you write a thesis in your specialisation. After a master's, graduates work as sociology teachers or journalists, and alumni have joined ministries, research agencies, newspapers and companies such as ING and Philips.
