Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is
Year one surveys European history from antiquity to the present within a global frame, with research labs on source analysis and a course introducing quantitative methods. In year two you choose one of seven specialisations in two tracks: History, with themes such as political conflict in modern Europe or crises and inequality, or International Relations in Historical Perspective, including Europe in the World and conflict and security. Each ends in research seminars where you work on a historiographical debate. Year three offers electives, an internship, a minor or a semester abroad, and a thesis on a topic of your choice. Tutorials of about 20 to 25 students and excursions are central.
What you need
- The IB Diploma counts as equivalent to VWO. IB English A or B, SL or HL, meets every UU English level.
