Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is
Year one introduces linguistics, phonetics, morphology and sociolinguistics, with a language of your choice, such as Arabic, Czech, French, German, Spanish, Turkish or Sign Language of the Netherlands, and a research project on language acquisition. Year two covers phonology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics, analysis of an unfamiliar language, and courses on first language acquisition, psycholinguistics and neurolinguistics. In year three you tailor your studies through specialisation options, electives or a minor, with space for an internship or study abroad, and write a bachelor's thesis. Graduates go into academia, teaching, research and many fields where the analytical skills transfer.
What you need
- Full IB Diploma needed (IB courses alone are not accepted); English as an IB exam subject covers the English requirement.
