    Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is

You explore how literature, language and creativity shape society, reading canonical and contemporary English-language literature from the early modern period onward alongside film, television, comics, graphic novels and digital media. The programme combines literary study with linguistics, creative writing and the practice of the publishing industry, and looks at how technology, including AI, changes the way language and literature are produced. It links historical voices to current social, political and cultural questions. Graduates can aim at editorial and publishing work such as editing, copyediting and marketing.

What you need

  • Full IB Diploma meets the entry rule. English: an English-taught or bilingual IB, or English A Lang & Lit SL 7/HL 6.

    • Everyone eligible is admitted
    No cap: meet the requirements and you are admitted. Apply in Studielink by 1 May and complete your VU application.
