What it is

The five-year programme looks at the science behind drug discovery, development and delivery, and at how patients respond to the medicines they take. Training includes six months of pre-registration practice in an approved pharmacy. The degree leads to registration as a pharmacist in Poland, which is recognised in other EU member states.

What you need

  • Chemistry or Biology HLOne of these two is obligatory at HL; HL 7 = 30 points.
  • Maths HL (AA or AI); or Biology, Chemistry or Physics HLA second, different subject at HL.

Every IB applicant at Medical University of Gdansk

IB scores are converted to points (HL 7 = 30, SL 7 = 18); Medicine and Pharmacy need two science or maths subjects at HL, plus an English interview. The IB covers English; no NAWA recognition needed.
