30 June 2027
Jagiellonian University - 2027/28 admissions must be open by this dateDetails
From annex 1 to Senate resolution 62/V/2026, in Polish: "Rekrutacja rozpoczyna się nie później niż 30 czerwca 2027 roku i kończy się nie później niż 1 października 2027 roku." A latest-possible opening rather than the opening: in 2026 the School of Medicine in English opened in February and the main rounds on 1 June.

Some Polish deadlines fall after this — Poznan Medical closes on 20 July. Where one closes earlier, ask the university how it takes IB results that arrive later.

24 September 2027
Jagiellonian University - last day to hand in documents promised at enrolmentHard deadlineDetails
A genuine 2027 date with a stated penalty, from annex 1 to Senate resolution 62/V/2026: a candidate who undertook at enrolment to supply a missing document has until 24 September 2027, with the date of arrival at the faculty counting rather than the date of posting, and failure produces an administrative decision that blocks starting the course. This matters to an IB candidate whose apostilled diploma may be slow to arrive.

The closing bound in annex 1 to Senate resolution 62/V/2026. The Rector may allow a further round after 1 October 2027, but only on showing that it will not disturb teaching and that those admitted can still attend the full programme.

What it is
The interdisciplinary core looks at European politics, culture and society through comparative politics, EU governance, human rights law, social change and protest movements, gender politics, digitalisation and environmental movements. Over three years you choose between two specialisations: Governing Europe and Central Eastern European Politics, covering political systems, post-1989 transformations, illiberalism and populism, or Social Change in Europe, covering digitalisation, environmental movements, migration and technological disruption. Language options include Polish, Russian, German and French. Graduates work in public administration, EU and national institutions, NGOs, cultural institutions and media, and the degree leads on to graduate study.
What you need
- No IB points or subjects are set: non-Polish applicants to most English bachelor's are ranked on an online interview in English alone. The IB needs no apostille or translation.

How places are decided
- Ranked 100% on an online interview in English; IB grades do not count. 60 places for non-Polish citizens in 2027.
