What it is
You develop practical English (grammar, speaking, reading, writing and pronunciation), study linguistics and English and American literature, and learn Polish plus one more language from scratch: German, French, Spanish, Italian or Russian. In the second year you choose between Global English Cultures and Languages, on varieties of English, pragmatics and intercultural communication, and Psycho-Pedagogical Aspects of Language Acquisition, on language learning, processing and the psychology of acquisition. Experimental methods in the study of language and the mind feature in the course. Graduates have data analysis, linguistic and cultural skills, and the programme prepares for CELTA and DELTA teaching qualifications and for master's study in linguistics, literature, culture or education.
What you need
- IB holders skip the foreigners' entrance exam on every bachelor's except Biotechnology. The IB Diploma counts as B2 English and needs no recognition in Poland.
