What it is
The curriculum covers cell structure, metabolism and division, nucleic acids and the genetic code, inheritance, genetic engineering techniques such as DNA electrophoresis and PCR, virology, microbiology, plant and animal diversity, and ecology. Laboratory sessions are held in small groups with specialised equipment and modern techniques in genetic engineering, histology, cytology and physiology, with some classes online. Graduates work in pharmaceutical and food laboratories, police forensic laboratories, environmental protection, plant and animal breeding, and research institutions, or continue to a master's in natural sciences.
What you need
- IB holders skip the foreigners' entrance exam on every bachelor's except Biotechnology. The IB Diploma counts as B2 English and needs no recognition in Poland.
