What it is
The degree draws on philosophy, cultural anthropology, history, the arts, literature and film studies, together with social theory and research methods. Teaching is in small seminars with close contact with international faculty. A required internship places students at schools, museums and archives, media outlets and NGOs, and a final independent thesis is supervised by faculty. Extended major groups let you focus on philosophy, arts and media, history and culture, or literature. Graduates move into cultural management, publishing, media, education, social research and nonprofit work, or on to graduate study.
