What it is
The first year builds on mathematics, physics, chemistry, geology and building materials. Later years turn to concrete, steel and timber structures, structural mechanics, soil mechanics and building physics, plus building services, construction technology, acoustics, fire safety and the rehabilitation of buildings. Teaching combines lectures, seminars, practical work and design projects, and the emphasis falls on the design, construction and performance of buildings. The degree is taught fully in English and prepares you for a master's in civil engineering.
What you need
- No written exam: documents, then a 15-minute online interview. B2 English certificate needed; school GPA at least 2.5 of 4.

BUT publishes no IB rule; its faculties ask foreign applicants to request an assessment of their diploma (about EUR 30). Czech law has accepted the IB Diploma without nostrification since March 2025.

- Documents screened (motivation letter, transcript, English certificate), then an interview on English, motivation and basic maths and physics; 10 of 20 recommends you.
