What it is
The first year lays foundations in marketing, management, finance, economics, law and the principles of entrepreneurship. Learning is practical: in teams you build and run real business ventures through entrepreneurial practice courses in the second and third years, alongside accounting, taxes, human resources, market research, project management, branding, digital marketing and information systems for small companies. Final-year thesis seminars document the venture you developed. Graduates are equipped to start their own business or take up roles in business development.

- Oral group interview in English on motivation, problem solving, teamwork and presentation.

Every IB applicant at Brno University of Technology
BUT publishes no IB rule; its faculties ask foreign applicants to request an assessment of their diploma (about EUR 30). Czech law has accepted the IB Diploma without nostrification since March 2025.
How places are decided
- Group interview scored out of 100; 30 to pass, then ranked for up to 80 places. 2026 criteria; 2027 not yet published.
