1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027*
Masaryk University, Faculty of Education - applications, September intakeHard deadlineDetails
The earliest of Masaryk's faculty windows to open, and the first Czech deadline of the cycle. Published as "Bachelor's programme: 1 October-31 March". Masaryk publishes this window with a day and a month but no year at all, and no academic-year heading anywhere on the page, so the year here is projected onto the September 2027 intake. Where the page's summary table and its per-faculty sections disagree, go by the faculty section, which gives the opening dates the table leaves out.

Masaryk University, Faculty of Social Studies - applications, September intakeHard deadlineDetails

Published as "September intake: 15 December-30 April". A February intake also exists, closing 30 October - note that Informatics prints 30 October where Economics and Social Studies print 31, and the page repeats it, so it is not a one-line typo.

What it is
You study how governments and the public sector work, using microeconomics, macroeconomics, statistics, econometrics and economic policy together with public administration, public economics, public policy and EU policy and institutions. Mathematics, accounting, management and academic writing in English are included, along with Czech language, and later semesters add behavioural economics, sector reforms and the economics of culture and media. Study abroad is possible through partner universities. Graduates are prepared for economic and administrative roles in public administration, international organisations, NGOs and consultancies, or for master's study.
What you need
- Predicted grades don't count: take a Scio test (50th percentile) or the SAT (1050). English: IB English A or B HL at 6, or a test.
Requirements in full
Every IB applicant at Masaryk University
Masaryk accepts the IB Diploma directly as proof of secondary education, with no nostrification. Each programme sets its own test, interview or documents; several waive English for IB students.
How places are decided
- A final IB Diploma (28 points, Maths 4) counts only if you hold it by the deadline; otherwise a Scio GAP, OSP or Maths test. Plus a 2-minute motivation video.
