What it is
The degree is built around practical Czech language teaching, together with basic theoretical instruction on how the language system works and on Czech literature, history and cultural background. Classes are taught in English, which serves as the bridge for learning Czech and for theory, and your English communication is developed alongside. Graduates are prepared for careers in international contacts, including academic posts, and for professions that need active command of Czech, English and another language.
What you need
- Needs a year of university Czech abroad or an intensive Czech course first, then a Czech exam at A1 (written and oral); English A2.

UP's guide for foreign applicants treats the IB Diploma as a Czech school-leaving certificate: send a certified copy, with no recognition fee. Each faculty runs its own selection.
