Applications closeHard deadlineDetails
The one genuinely 2027/28 row on VSB's whole application-dates table, published in Czech as "bakalarske | anglictina | 2027/2028 | 01. 10. 2026 - 31. 01. 2027 | 1. kolo". Read the Czech page: the English mirror of the same table has not been updated for this faculty and still shows the closed 2026/27 window. The university homepage carries a banner saying "APPLICATIONS for AY 27/28 open on 1 October", but it names no faculty, no year digit and no closing date, so go by the faculty table rather than the banner.

What it is
You study all the main groups of technical materials, metals, polymers, structural ceramics and composites, including their production and recycling, mechanical, physical and chemical properties, microstructure analysis, heat treatment and degradation. Learning is practical, in laboratories comparable to those of developed countries, with chances to work on industrial problems and complete internships abroad. Graduates can continue to the follow-up master's, including a double-degree option with Yokohama National University in Japan, or work in the metallurgical, automotive and engineering industries, in research and development, or in materials testing.
What you need
- An oral subject exam (70 points) plus your secondary-school results (30); 51 of 100 needed. B2 English certificate unless all your secondary education was in English.
