What it is

The first year covers cell biology, biophysics, chemistry, biostatistics, microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics and histology, followed by anatomy, physiology, immunology, biotechnology and toxicology, and later epidemiology, general pathology, experimental models and pathology of cancer, infectious and cardiovascular disease. Dedicated laboratory courses run in the third and fourth years, external internships are available, and a research-based bachelor thesis closes the degree. You can follow a voluntary itinerary in microbiology, cardiology or oncology. Graduates work as laboratory technicians, biomedical researchers, quality control specialists and diagnostic staff, or go on to master's study and research.

What you need

  • IB via UNEDasiss: your IB becomes a grade out of 10, and two weighted subjects (IB grades on the credential or PCE tests) add up to 4. Prove B2 English during year 1.
