What it is
The first year covers mathematics, physics, chemistry, programming and statistics, then quantum physics, mechanics and relativity, electromagnetism, optics and materials science, followed by statistical physics, fluid mechanics, electronic engineering and instrumentation, and finally quantum computation, biomaterials and nanoelectronics. Lab practicals are held in small groups, internships are available and a bachelor thesis closes the degree. Electives range from quantum technologies, nanomaterials and plasma physics to renewable energy, robotics and control. Graduates work in research centres, biotechnology, quantum computing, nanotechnology, photonics and the space industry.
What you need
- IB via UNEDasiss: your IB becomes a grade out of 10, and two weighted subjects (IB grades on the credential or PCE tests) add up to 4. Prove B2 English during year 1.
