What it is
Mathematics and computer science are studied together, from linear algebra, calculus, discrete mathematics and programming, through numerical methods, complex analysis, cryptography, automata, algorithms and artificial intelligence, to differential equations, optimisation, databases and language processors. Final-year electives include machine learning, financial mathematics, parallel programming and stochastic processes, and a bachelor thesis closes the degree. Laboratory work runs throughout, external internships are available and exchanges run through Erasmus. Graduates work as quantitative analysts, software developers, scientific computing specialists, researchers and consultants.
What you need
- IB via UNEDasiss: your IB becomes a grade out of 10, and two weighted subjects (IB grades on the credential or PCE tests) add up to 4. Prove B2 English during year 1.
