What it is
Industrial engineering subjects and the fundamentals of economics are combined, so you learn how technology and processes work and how businesses and markets respond to them. The programme is shared by two Barcelona universities, taught entirely in English across both campuses, and offers optional extracurricular internships on innovation projects at national and international companies. A third language must also be demonstrated. It leads directly into the master's in industrial engineering that qualifies for the regulated profession, or into advanced economics. Graduates manage projects, plants and technology centres in energy, chemicals, robotics, automotive and rail, or work in strategic planning, quality and environmental management.
