What it is
The first years cover mathematics, programming, machine learning, chemistry, physical chemistry and biochemistry, with a focus on sustainable processes in bioproducts and biotechnology. You learn through lectures, group work and laboratory courses, moving from guided exercises to more open projects, with industry guest lecturers and a bachelor's thesis. Electives point towards master's paths in biotechnology, chemical and metallurgical engineering, or chemistry and materials science, and exchange is possible at partner universities. Graduates enter the chemical, semiconductor, biotech, food, pharmaceutical and electronics industries, or go on to research.
