What it is
You study networking, control and automation, electronic circuits, embedded systems and machine learning, programming in languages such as Python, C++ and Matlab, and you add design thinking and electronic prototyping. Multidisciplinary team projects, industrial projects and a hands-on final project tied to the thesis give you practical experience, and part of the degree can be taken abroad on exchange. The mix of electrical engineering and design is the programme's particular character, and you work alongside students from business, arts and computer science. Graduates go on to the Aalto master's in electrical engineering or to roles in automation, electronics and simulation engineering.
