What it is
You build a base in mathematics, physics, general, physical and biochemistry, then move into inorganic and organic chemistry, chemical engineering, chemical technology, environmental technology, analytical chemistry, unit operations and process control. The course combines theory with modern laboratory work, a six-week internship and a thesis. From the fifth semester you choose between chemical and process engineering, industrial pharmaceutics, or materials science. Graduates work in industrial technology, research and development, planning and public administration, or continue to the master's in chemical engineering.
What you need
- No IB points rule: the Diploma counts as your school-leaving certificate and an English-medium school certificate can replace an English test. Entry turns on BME's own online tests.
