What it is
You start with mathematics, physics and electronic materials, then move into core electrical engineering: microelectronics, electronics, instrumentation, control systems and programming, drawing on both classical and modern methods. The course aims at a balance between theory and practical engineering work. Three specialisations are offered: Embedded and Control Systems, Infocommunication, and Sustainable Electric Energetics. A six-week internship and a thesis project round off the seven semesters. Graduates are prepared for engineering roles in electrical and information technology fields.
What you need
- No IB points rule: the Diploma counts as your school-leaving certificate and an English-medium school certificate can replace an English test. Entry turns on BME's own online tests.

How places are decided
- School certificate (70% minimum) pre-screened, then an online Maths and Physics test. 2026 criteria; 2027 not yet published.
