What it is
The course is built on four core subfields: cognitive and affective psychology (memory, perception, emotion), personality, developmental and social psychology, supported by biological psychology, research methods, statistics and ethics. Electives touch clinical, health, educational and organisational applications. Research field practicals in each subfield feed into the BA thesis, which gathers empirical work from those placements and is defended in the final exam. Small classes give a tutorial-like atmosphere. Graduates qualify as behaviour analysts supporting psychologists in educational, clinical, organisational and rehabilitation settings, work as HR or research assistants, or continue to a psychology master's.
What you need
- The IB Diploma counts as your secondary certificate (ELTE wants it equivalent to the Hungarian matriculation). English B2, or an English-medium school certificate; economics degrees encourage IB results.
