What it asks of IB students

The IB Diploma counts as your secondary certificate (ELTE wants it equivalent to the Hungarian matriculation). English B2, or an English-medium school certificate; economics degrees encourage IB results.

ELTE shows one self-funded fee per degree on its application portal and no separate EU price; Hungarian-language and state-funded places run through Felvi, not these degrees.

  • Language degrees (German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Romanian, Dutch studies, Hungarian) are taught in that language or Hungarian, so they are left out.
  • Each faculty runs its own application rounds and deadlines, and later rounds carry a higher application fee; apply early.
