What it is
The programme trains professional sociologists in sociological concepts and research methods, and in recognising and interpreting social problems. Lectures and seminars are combined with project-based teaching, including a semester of intensive project work. You can add a specialisation such as data analysis or criminology, which carries an extra certificate. Graduates work in research, public administration, media, social and health services, marketing, HR and management, in roles such as community officer, social worker or marketing analyst, and can continue in social sciences at other European universities.
What you need
- The IB Diploma counts as your secondary certificate (ELTE wants it equivalent to the Hungarian matriculation). English B2, or an English-medium school certificate; economics degrees encourage IB results.
