Published as "the 21st of August the year of application", with no year; this site assumes the 2027 intake. Semmelweis lets you apply and sit the entrance exam while still in your final year - "Those who have not yet received this certificate can also submit their application and take the entrance examination" - but "The final deadline for uploading the Matriculation Certificate is the 21st of August." Your IB Diploma is issued in early July, so the gap is about six weeks; the risk is not the date but forgetting the step exists.

What it is
The first two years rest on chemistry, biology, mathematics and physics, taught through both lectures and laboratory classes. Pharmacy-specific subjects arrive in years two and three, with a high share of practical training and several internships. Work on the diploma thesis begins in the fourth year, and the degree ends with a compulsory practice period, thesis submission and a final exam. Teaching draws on a large clinical base for bedside pharmacy training. Graduates work in pharmaceutical research, industry, regulatory authorities and the pharmaceutical trade across the EU, and the science grounding also opens related fields such as chemistry, bioengineering and biology.

No IB-specific rule: entry is Semmelweis's own entrance exam and interview (oral exam for health BSc). Final-year students can apply and upload the IB certificate by August.
