Deadlines

  1. 1 January to 30 June 2027*

University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest - rolling application window
    Rolling
    Details

Published as a standing rule with no year: "Applications are accepted on a rolling basis from 1st January until 30th June (in cases of vacancies later)"; this site assumes the 2027 intake. Decisions are made on a rolling basis through the window, so an early application is a better one. Entrance examinations are arranged online between March and July, with "further rounds of entrance examinations organized in August depending on the number of vacancies" - a real second chance, but one that depends on other people turning places down. An applicant still in the final year of school may apply, but the school leaving certificate must be presented before enrolment.

What you could study here

What it asks of IB students

No IB rule or exemption: everyone sits the entrance exam in biology, chemistry and English (written, then oral). Only transfers and French BCPST students can skip the written part.

Where it says so

Worth knowing

Applications are rolling from January to 30 June, later if places remain; exams run online between March and July, with more rounds in August when there are vacancies.

All 3 notes
  • Applications are rolling from January to 30 June, later if places remain; exams run online between March and July, with more rounds in August when there are vacancies.
  • One price is published for everyone, with no separate EU rate; you also pay a EUR 200 application fee and a EUR 250 exam fee, and a second exam attempt is free.
  • School-leavers get in only through the exam: the page names just transfers and the French BCPST year as exemptions from the written part, and says nothing about the IB.
