What it is
Over six years taught in English, you move from the basic sciences towards clinical medicine; typical early courses in such a degree include anatomy, physiology and biochemistry. From the early years you train inside Rome's Gemelli Hospital, observing doctors, learning clinical procedures and taking part in hospital life. The course adds ethics, medical anthropology, law and doctor-patient communication to the science, and its structure is aligned with international standards, including preparation for USMLE Step 1 and Step 2. Graduates are prepared to practise as independent doctors in Italy and in other countries such as the US and UK.

Full IB Diploma, entered after your penultimate school year; most degrees want 31 points at the end of IB year 1. No conditional offers on predicted grades. An IB in English needs no English test.
