What it is
The first year is mathematics, physics, chemistry and computer science. The second brings the core civil subjects: structural mechanics and design, geotechnics, fluid mechanics, hydraulic engineering, infrastructure and transport design, and surveying and monitoring. In the third year you apply them to steel and reinforced concrete design, earthworks, hydraulic projects and transport infrastructure, with material technology and construction management alongside. Graduates work in the public or private sector on soils, structures, transport, hydraulics, civil protection and surveying, and can sit the professional exam as junior engineers or continue to a master's in Civil Engineering, Risk Mitigation or Built Environment Management.
