What it is
The degree has four parts. A core area in the first two years blends mathematics, physics, chemistry, materials and computer science, with Engineering Corners that introduce methods from across engineering. In years two and three, a direction area of electives points you toward fields such as mechanics, fluids, automation or electronics, and a third-year focus area goes deeper into one. It ends with a hands-on interdisciplinary capstone project, often with industry or research labs. Teaching mixes lectures, hands-on and virtual labs, group projects and presentations. Graduates work where engineering fields meet, or continue to specialised master's degrees.
What you need
- Ranked on an entrance test: the TOL (in Italian), or CEnT-S (in English) or the SAT instead.

The IB Diploma counts if you entered the IB after promotion to your penultimate school year. A diploma taught in English meets the English rule; every degree ranks you on an entrance test.
How places are decided
- Ranked on your test score, with a separate ranking for the English-taught programmes. 2026 criteria; 2027 details due around January 2027.
