What it is
The degree centres on architectural design and planning at several scales: you learn to design simple civic buildings, survey modern and historic buildings and work through a project from first concept to management. Typical courses in a degree of this kind include design studios, history of architecture, drawing and representation, structures and building technology, and mathematics. Learning happens in design studios, labs and projects, workshops, an internship and a thesis. Graduates work as junior architects in design studios, public administration, engineering and architecture firms and construction companies, and can continue to a master's.

- National TIL-A test in person in Turin, sat in English; SAT not accepted. 2026: register 12 June–15 July, test 21 or 22 July.

Every IB applicant at PoliTo
Full IB Diploma: 24+ points, 12 of them at HL, and TOK, EE and CAS passed. An IB studied wholly in English proves your English (B2 needed). Every degree needs the TIL test or SAT.
How places are decided
- Ranked on the TIL-A test. Up to 40 of the EU places are for the English-taught programme. 2026 criteria; 2027 not yet published.
