What it is
Designed for international students who may have little or no formal background in Classics, the course gives intensive training in Greek and Latin, aiming to take you to the point where you can read complex literary texts. Alongside the languages and literatures you study ancient history, classical archaeology and the legacy of the classical world in medieval, modern and contemporary cultures, with cultural, anthropological and reception perspectives. Field trips, museum visits and library workshops make use of the city of Rome. Graduates work in publishing, journalism and cultural heritage, in spreading knowledge of the ancient world and in translating texts, and many continue to further study.
What you need
- SAT or English TOLC-E / English Test HUM for pre-selection.
