What it is
Over six years taught in English, you learn to treat diseases of the mouth and teeth and to restore or maintain oral function, starting from the basic medical sciences and moving into clinical dentistry. A large share of the course is professional training: small-group practical activity guided by teachers within the teaching hospital and in the wider area. Dentists diagnose and treat diseases and anomalies of the teeth, mouth, jaws and related tissues and handle prevention and rehabilitation, and they coordinate dental teams that include hygienists, assistants and dental technicians. Graduates can go on to dental specialty schools such as oral surgery and paediatric dentistry.

A diploma after 12 years of school; the IB Diploma waives the English certificate. Each degree asks for a test score (SAT, CEnT-S or a CISIA test) and a minimum school average.
