What it is
Over six years you move from the basic sciences, typically anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and pathology, to clinical medicine, learning to give safe, high-quality care, to make clinical decisions on prevention, diagnosis and treatment, and to base them on evidence while knowing the limits of your competence. The programme follows international standards in medical education and includes a practical-evaluative internship that is required before registration as a physician. Graduates practise in the national health service and in private or affiliated facilities, working in teams with other health professionals, and can continue to specialist training.

Every IB applicant at Sapienza
A diploma after 12 years of school; the IB Diploma waives the English certificate. Each degree asks for a test score (SAT, CEnT-S or a CISIA test) and a minimum school average.
