What it is

The degree trains building engineers who weigh the economic, social and environmental effects of changing the built territory. Alongside foundation subjects you take core building engineering courses integrated with traditional civil engineering, with environmental engineering subjects giving weight to sustainability, and you learn to survey and analyse existing buildings and to work with low-impact techniques and materials. The aim is to understand the links between management, design, construction and production at different scales of the building sector. Graduates are intermediate-level professionals who contribute to planning, designing and carrying out interventions to build, transform and conserve buildings.
