Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is
You study the sciences, social sciences and humanities side by side, learning the facts of each field and how to link them. Seminars are capped at 25 students, and classes take on big questions such as globalisation and climate change, combining analytical skills with applied experience. You major in one of the three areas, and an optional honours programme is open to Dutch and international students. The degree is run jointly by two Amsterdam universities, VU and UvA, in a multicultural city with international companies and institutions. It prepares you for decision-making roles in business, government, policy or academia.
