Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is
Four themes structure the degree: the sustainable city, the multicultural city, the safe city and the healthy city, set against theories of urban development, the history of cities and future urban trends. You learn in the classroom and in actual urban environments, on field trips to Dutch cities, through individual and group research projects, and in methods courses on observation, interviews, social network analysis and spatial analysis. In year two you specialise in one of the four themes, and year three offers an internship, exchange or minor, then a research lab with your thesis. Graduates move into academia, business or the public sector, or into a research or technical master.
What you need
- Full IB Diploma required (not certificates); send grade 11, November grade 12 and predicted grades. English-taught IB or English A HL waives the English test. Science programmes set HL subjects.
