What it is

Mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software development and mathematics are combined, and you work with students from other engineering fields on real challenges from year one. Teaching relies on hands-on projects, modern labs, guided projects with companies and an internship. The two campuses differ: Eindhoven centres on high-tech robotics and systems in the Brainport ecosystem, while Venlo leans towards sustainability and smart manufacturing in the Greenport region. Graduates work as system architects, service engineers, industrial automation specialists, designers, control technicians, technical consultants or project managers, in sectors such as healthcare, robotics, software, R&D and maintenance, or continue to a master.

The IB Diploma is named as giving access. Many programmes also want satisfactory maths grades, engineering also physics or chemistry, with no IB grade set. An IB Diploma usually exempts you from an English test.
