Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is

Year one runs in blocks on Design & Prototyping, 2D Game Development, 3D Games & Assets, and Production & Reflection; year two brings client projects using VR, AR, AI and virtual production, focus tracks, electives and a Game Lab for building a releasable game. You learn by making things in international teams rather than through exams, using the Makerspace and Spacelab for prototypes. Year three is an industry internship and year four a capstone project with external clients. Graduates work as game designers, 3D artists, UI/UX designers, game developers, technical artists or studio entrepreneurs, or continue to a master in digital transformation or international communication.

What you need

  • Any IB MathsA pass on your final results; Hanze sets no IB level. The OMPT-A maths test (55%) can make up for it.

The IB Diploma meets the HAVO-level entry for 4-year programmes and counts as VWO-level for the 3-year ones. It also exempts you from the English test.
