Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is
The first two years cover analogue and digital electronics, embedded programming, PLCs, robotics, data communication, drive systems and control systems, taught through hands-on projects for real clients, workshops at Van Doorenveste and the Hanze Makerspace. Year three includes an internship and the degree ends with a graduation project at a company or organisation. In years three and four you choose Mechatronics, Sensors & Smart Systems, or Energy & Power Electronics, and can take minors or study abroad. Graduates work as electrical, automation, embedded software, hardware or mechatronics engineers, with employers such as ASML and Philips, or continue to a master such as Smart Systems Engineering.
