Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is

Studio work is at the heart of the degree: in shared studios you start an artistic process and make independent work, supported by theory on contemporary art, professional practice, technical workshops and labs, and electives. Assignments come from the academy's Project Bureau and Art & Society Research Centre, there are excursions abroad, and students show work in public exhibitions and a joint graduation show. Year three offers a semester at a partner academy or an in-house minor, and honours projects are available. The academy in Groningen leads on to four master programmes. Graduates build a practice as independent artists, in their own workshop or a shared one.
