Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is
Year one covers ancient, medieval, early modern and contemporary history, Dutch history in a global setting, historical sources and academic writing, and year two adds modern history, cultural, political and economic and social approaches, historical theory and a region of your choice for deeper study. Lecture courses are combined with working groups, independent research with papers and presentations, and a bachelor thesis. The fifth semester can be a career minor with a placement, study abroad or another minor. Graduates work as policy officers, journalists, museum professionals or educators, or continue to a master such as History and Heritage Consultancy or Euroculture.
What you need
- Apply for the English track; a Dutch track also exists.
