Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is
You learn to build a mathematical model of a practical problem, solve it, and translate the answer back so specialists in other fields can use it, with examples from mobile technology, cybersecurity, logistics, medical imaging and car design. Teaching follows challenge-based learning: lectures and small-group practical sessions, with problems tackled in groups and project work growing over the three years. Besides compulsory mathematics courses you take non-technology courses and a large share of free electives, and a double bachelor with Applied Physics or Computer Science and Engineering is possible. Graduates become cryptologists, logistics consultants, statisticians and software designers, or continue to a two-year master's.
