Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is
You study how English has changed and varies across groups of speakers, read literature from the English-speaking world, and train your pronunciation within a World Englishes approach. Year one includes The Sound Lab, The Writers' Lab, and literature and language history courses from the Renaissance onward. In year two you choose one of five specialisations, among them language learning and teaching, transforming texts, the social life of English and Celtic literatures and linguistics, alongside an integrated humanities track. One third of the programme is electives, and internships in the Netherlands or abroad, for example with publishers, translation agencies and schools, are possible. Year three ends with a thesis.
What you need
- The IB Diploma counts as equivalent to VWO. IB English A or B, SL or HL, meets every UU English level.
