Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

Both Dutch deadlines fall well before this. How a conditional place pending results is handled is set by each institution; ask yours.

What it is
You study how communication works and what role language plays in it, choosing a track from year one; the English-taught tracks are Language and Media and Applied Linguistics. Language and Media covers discourse analysis, global English, multilingual communication in the EU, visual design, language policy in organisations and how organisations use media with business and consumers. Applied Linguistics covers language structure, child language acquisition, language disorders, multilingualism and the role of large language models. Year three offers a minor or an internship, then social media analytics and a bachelor's thesis based on your own research. The small scale gives plenty of contact with lecturers.
What you need
- Two English tracks: Language and Media, and Applied Linguistics; the Media and Journalism track is taught in Dutch.
