What it is
The theory side covers pedagogy and psychology, physiology and adaptation, biomechanics, sports training and nutrition, together with general didactic principles. It is applied in practice-oriented courses in strength training, athletics, gymnastics and other sports. The first year and part of the second build basic motor skills and the principles of applied sport science, and later years combine specialised didactics with practical training. Graduates can design and run fitness and exercise programmes with varied goals for different groups of people.

Every IB applicant at Charles University
Charles accepts an IB Diploma automatically, with no assessment fee. Each faculty runs its own selection; a few faculty pages still list a recognition fee for foreign diplomas, so ask.
How places are decided
- Scored 0–30: motivation letter, spoken English and discussion of an English text, 10 each; 15 needed. A later second round also ran in 2026. 2026 criteria; 2027 not yet published.
