What it is

The degree studies the history, culture, politics and economics of contemporary Central Europe through compulsory overview courses and electives that let you go deeper into topics that interest you. Czech language training runs through all three years, from basic grammar up to upper-intermediate level, so that later you can discuss specialised topics in Czech. There are no formal tracks. Graduates are prepared for work in the civil service, diplomacy, NGOs, think-tanks, international institutions, private companies and the media, or for a master's at the university in English or Czech.

What you need

  • No entrance exam: ranked on your record, a motivation letter, a recommendation letter and activities. No Czech needed to apply; it is taught from scratch.
