What it is

The first two years lay a common mathematical foundation, and in years three and four you specialise in industrial mathematics, artificial intelligence or financial mathematics, depending on availability. The course trains you to turn real situations into mathematical models and optimise decisions under constraints, with theory, numerical work and coding side by side; you also learn to write in LaTeX, present scientific posters and draft manuscripts, with a touch of quantum computing. A capstone project closes the degree, and internships and exchanges are encouraged. Graduates go into roles such as data scientist, machine learning engineer, quantitative trader or cryptography specialist, or into research.
